Jennifer Gesualdi, Esq.
Partner & Head of Workers' Compensation & Social Security Disability
The daughter of Argentinian immigrants, Jennifer Gesualdi focuses a large portion of her practice on representing Hispanic and Lusophone workers in Social Security and Workers’ Compensation claims. Gesualdi’s parents settled in New Jersey, where she was born and raised. By the time she was in college at the University of Florida, Gesualdi already felt a commitment to serve Spanish-speaking communities. She volunteered in English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for undocumented farmworkers while she was in college and participated in CHISPAS, a student-led organization at UF that promotes the fair treatment of the immigrant community. After she graduated in 2012 with a B.A. in History, Gesualdi headed back to the New York area and took a job as a paralegal in a New Jersey law firm, where she went on to head the Social Security department. Convinced that she wanted to become a lawyer after two years there, Gesualdi enrolled at Brooklyn Law School, where she continued to serve the Hispanic community. She served on the Immigrant Visa Assistance Project, which assists immigrant crime victims, as well as on the Safe Harbor Project, where she was a student intern representing asylum-seekers. She also interned at the Social Security Administration’s Region II office in the New York area the summer after her first year of law school. The next summer she interned at the U.S. Department of the Interior’s office in Newton, Mass. After receiving her J.D., she joined Brooks Law in the spring of 2017.
Gesualdi concentrates her practice on Social Security Disability and Workers’ Compensation. She appears frequently on behalf of her clients at administrative law proceedings and also serves as a much-needed bilingual counselor who will answer clients’ questions and convey their wishes. “I feel that my team and I as bilingual legal professionals can provide our clients with high quality legal services with an approach that affirms empathy, understanding, and efficiency as our highest values,” she says. “Without language barriers and with a highly experienced team, I am proud of the work we accomplish at Brooks Law on behalf of our clients." Gesualdi currently lives in Somerville and enjoys being part of greater Boston’s lively Argentine tango-dancing community.
